“How do you create a professional portrait with just one light source? I’ll show you step by step how I approach this studio shoot”
My name is Mark Mooibroek, I’m 37 years old and I live in the beautiful town of Emmen (Drenthe) with my wife Ilona and our two daughters: Sherren (15) and Daniek (11). In daily life, I work in secondary education as a system administrator and graphic designer. In my free time, I love picking up my camera to capture special moments. For me, photography is the perfect way to express my creativity and truly unwind.

“Sometimes you don’t need to make it big to capture something truly special. This shoot was exactly that… calm, intimate, and completely guided by feeling. No fuss, just soft light and full attention to what really matters. The anticipation, the quiet, and that little miracle already so close.I always find it special to capture moments like this. A phase that passes so quickly, yet is so valuable to hold on to.Pure, quiet and real — exactly as it was.”
Photography, for me, is the perfect balance between creativity and relaxation. Whether it’s the delicate details of a flower, the striking presence of an animal, or a pure and personal portrait — I’m always searching for that one moment that tells a story.
This beautiful brown lemur 🐒 sits calmly in its spot, carefully observing everything around it 👀. With its striking orange eyes and soft fur, it radiates a unique blend of curiosity and serenity ✨. The moment feels almost magical 🌿, as if time stands still while it takes in the world 🌍. Sometimes beauty lies in those quiet, subtle moments 💛 where everything just feels right. Let this special gaze inspire you 😍 to pause for a second and truly enjoy the present moment 🌅.
